For high school students, any kind of volunteer work is valuable and worth your time. It can also give you real-world experience in areas you're interested in for school or your future career.

Clubs/Conservatories

  • ASB (Associated Student Body)
    ASB is in charge of coordinating the planning, action, and evaluation of all student campus activities. These activities include, but are not limited to; school dances, fundraisers, philanthropic projects (canned food drive, No Gray Areas x WPHS Toy Drive, Heal the Bay Beach Clean Ups, City Year x WPHS, etc), assemblies, campus spirit, lunchtime activities, music at lunch, spirit/dress-up days, and communication of events.

  • STEAM Club
    Focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics through projects and activities.

  • Fashion
    A group dedicated to exploring fashion design, trends, and styling through hands-on projects and discussions.

  • High Dose Tutoring
    Offers intensive, personalized academic support to help students improve their grades and understanding of subjects.

  • Digital Media & Civic Engagement
    Focuses on creating digital content and promoting community involvement and social issues through media.

  • Spanish Club
    Celebrates Hispanic culture and language through activities, events, and practice speaking Spanish.

    The Metro Station Youth Program empowers students to lead workshops on transit use, safety, and community outreach. Participants develop leadership skills and contribute to local transit improvements while engaging with urban transportation systems.

  • UCLA Youth Source
    The UCLA Youth Source Program provides students with leadership opportunities in community service and career development. Participants engage in mentorship, organize skill-building workshops, and advocate for youth needs, enhancing their leadership skills while contributing to community growth.

    The Urban League Youth Program empowers students to lead community advocacy and professional development initiatives. Participants build skills through workshops and outreach, advancing economic and social empowerment.
