COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:
Media Literacy & Society:
Through a groundbreaking approach — incorporating design thinking, technology skills, and hands-on learning — students examine, understand, and iterate solutions to real-world problems as presented throughout the American media landscape. From social justice initiatives, to equity campaigns, voter rights movements, and more, students will study the media origins of various social advocacy efforts to be a part of the conversation and be included in this national discourse.
SAT Prep & College Writing:
Designed to stimulate the verbal and math skills of 11th & 12th graders planning to take the SAT Test and apply to college in their Senior Year, students take practice tests, learn key information, and develop test-taking strategies, while also working on drafting their personal statements to be competitive when applying to 4-year colleges and universities.
